Honourable Deputy Prime Minister,
I
firmly wish to send you my appreciation for the Government’s initiative to
make Mauritius a “Zone Franche Informatique” as concerns Information
Technology and Telecommunications. I wish to provide my services VOLUNTARILY
in the Government’s endeavour and I can assure you that I will do my
utmost best to help the Government and the Republic of Mauritius.
My
sincere thanks to the Government for the deregulation of the Internet
Services.
I
am currently Group Director of Information Technology and Telecommunications
for a group of five
Multinational companies.
Though
I am based in the United Kingdom I want to concentrate my efforts for
Mauritius and I am considering an eventual return to the Island so that I
can provide all my energy to help the Government and the Mauritian Nation.
My recent visit to Latin America has enriched my ideas of how to use to the
Internet to boost the economy and I am fully confident that these ideas
would be taken into consideration.
I
have more than 10 years experience in the field and have been trained in the
USA, Denmark, UK and South Africa.
